  Keep an eye on your water intake this season. Don't create problem's. Substitute with water whenever you can. Cola contains the equivalent of 10 teaspoons of sugar and 150 calories. If you are consuming and burning 2000 calories a day and add just one soft drink to your daily diet, with no other changes in intake or physical activity, you will add up to 15 pounds in 1 year. It almost doesn't seem fair but if this is how we treat this miracle machine we call our bodies, I guess we deserve what we get.  

  Moral of story STICK WITH WATER! Water suppresses the appetite naturally and helps the body metabolize stored fat. Studies have shown a decrease in water intake will cause fat deposits to increase, while an increase in water can actually reduce fat deposits. Here's why: the kidneys can't function properly without enough water. When they don't work to capacity, some of their load is dumped into the liver. One of the liver's primary functions is to metabolize stored fat into useable energy for the body. If the liver has to do some of the kidney's work, it can't operate at full throttle. As a result, it metabolizes less fat, then more fat is stored in the body and weight loss stops.
